Mousepad Help

Hi, I'm looking for a new mousepad to match my new G600.
Currently using a very worn Razer Scarab, which I thought was pretty good apart from the annoying raised center that everyone seems to complain about (goddammit Razer QC).
So since my pad's worn down, I'm looking for a new one. I'm a middle sens gamer and I do prefer hard mats overall.
I've used quite a few pads in the past, including
- Razer Ironclad
This was pretty bad, as the surface just wore down in 2 weeks (goddammit Razer)
-SteelSeries SX
This was actually a really good pad, lasted me quite a while before it wore down (around 2 yrs?)
-eXactmat (speed side)
Used this back in the day, I thought it was pretty good but I replaced it with the SX which I liked a lot better

So yeah, I've only used aluminum pads in the past (excluding my current Scarab), so are there any good aluminum pads out there right now?
Taking a serious look at the Ensis 320, that one looks really good and apparently is quite quiet for an aluminum pad.
As far as plastic pads go, the Corsair MM400 is supposed to be really good so if anyone has any thoughts on that one then that'd be cool.
If anyone knows of any other mats along these lines then feel free to share and thanks for your suggestions.

As far as hard pads go, I'm still a big fan of glass. Something like an old Icemat. See if you can find one of those in a shape and color you like.

used an i-2 for a while and found that it was too high maintenance to keep clean and such
so i'm not really looking at glass atm, just alum and plastic

If you think glass is high maintenance and you wear through alum quickly, you may just have to admit defeat and go to a quality soft pad.

Alternatively, you can give one of those trendy new silicon mats a whirl. Never used one myself, can't comment.
