[Videocardz] NVIDIA Working On Kepler GK208 GPU - Page 2

Wtb more non-console ported games.
But given nVidia's GPU naming scheme, wouldn't that be a GT 720/730? Knowing nVidia that means GK208 is likely nothing more than a die shrunk/straight up rebrand of GK107 (GT 630)

Our sources told us that the upcoming flagship of GeForce 700 series — GeForce GTX 780 — would feature between 1728 and 2112 CUDA cores. If we assume that the GK208 would be an entry-level GPU then it could likely power the GeForce GT 740 or GTX 750. If the 192 CUDA cores SMX architecture would not be changed, then GeForce GT 740/750 might be packed with 576 cores (3*192).

What kind of percentage bump can we guesstimate is Kepler 'refresh' looking at over current 600 series?

Going to be hard to want to replace my beautifully built GTX 690 now. tongue.gif

Considering the GTX 680 is limited by it's ROPs and/or memory bandwidth, I doubt 1-3 more SMXes would really do much of a difference.

I think if it has 384-bit and 48 ROPs we are easily looking into 25+% in shader intensive games, and 35+% in bandwidth limited games such as Crysis 1 Series and Metro 2033.

So wait, we're going to have 3 high-end variants of 700 series, the 110, 114, and 204? What the hell is this? Are they delaying Maxwell till 2016???? Are they releasing a new high end Kepler refresh every 6 months?

What is this garbage???? mad.gif

I'm seriously considering the move to AMD. They release a high end single-gpu X970 series card and they call it a day, they don't waste people's time with this garbage.
