Yes but deleting and uninstalling are two very different things. You only need to uninstall the driver and then install the one you want before windows does it's thing.

OK,,, so uninstall the driver first and then before windows restarts/installs ITS driver again, then I install the ones on my disk...

Yes. that is the procedure. Except install your drivers via device manager and not the cd utility. If that doesn't work repeat this but in safe mode.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I was thinking about uninstalling this crappy windows vista and installing windows 7 but it's an old Athlon dual core with 2GB of RAM, I don't think it can run it.

Btw, sorry for the late reply, alright so the cd utility gives me a message saying that the drivers are only for Windows 7 and cant be installed in windows 8 because of this.- understood.

I also cant get the device manager to install drivers as it says there are no relevant files to install, or something similar.

No, I can't uninstall some drivers too, I wrote the problem in the first page.
