Thread Starter
Hey, how do i overclock Q8400, because when i do sometimes the computer wont start.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66GHz
4,00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 333MHz (5-5-5-15)
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. EP45-UD3 (Socket 775)
896MB GeForce GTX 260 (Gigabyte)

May it be because the RAM has only 333Mhz??

I what to overcloct to 3GHz or higher
Cooling is okey, 4 fans

Thanks for tips wink.gif

You'll need to unlink your memory from your FSB, it's sometimes called the FSB:DRAM strap. If you can't do that then try this

Memory to FSB ratio 1:1

Set memory at 400, set your FSB at 400

CPU Multiplier @ 9

You'll need to up the vcore as well. As for that you'll need to start at 1.3 and go from there, I think 1.4 is normal for those processor but double check it.
