exactly. just ask question when/if you need help

It's amazing to see some1 bashing when the question that was made was which one would be better for an upgrade, Intel or AMD?
Taking in consideration that question I told him Intel and why Intel was better,

You can try to play with the FSB on your CPU to try and atleast soften the bottleneck, it'll make a huge difference.
Also taking in consideration that he will have to buy new ram if he decides to OC and that his board is a good board... He could probably sell them both(Mobo+CPU) and get like 150$(being pessimist). 150$ is almost good enough to buy an i5, just spend some money on a z77 board for 100$ and he has a fully capable system without having the need to OC to get full usage from his graphics card. And it can be made cheaper...
So yea OC'ing is an option, but I dont think it's the most cost effective option since the OP will have to buy a new set of ram to be able to OC.
Sooner or later you'll have to upgrade, you can either upgrade when your current parts still have some market value or you can upgrade when no1 wants them.
@OP You specifically asked for no AMD fanboy answers and what you are getting is fanboy answers, people telling you to upgrade to piledriver...
You can overclock your CPU, you will need to buy some decent 1600Mhz ram, OC the NB on the Thuban and OC the FSB till you get stable.
You will be very limited in terms of upgrades in the future, you will most likely end up doing a full system upgrade if you OC the Thuban.
