Stop going wider please. 16:9 is enough, unless you are Uma Thurman.

Edit: I hope it is obvious they are doing the same thing they did with the 16:10 -> 16:9 move. They are taking panel sheets meant for 1440p monitors and squeaking out another panel to maximize profits.

Pffft, only 2.33 aspect ratio I'm wider I'm atm on 2.81 aspect ratio

However, this would be kinda interesting if they are substantially cheaper than the 27'' Koerans, you could do a 5400x2560 5x screen eyefinity out of that gaining in vertical space (2.1 aspect ratio) - I somehow doubt though that they would be cheaper than ~350 for the 27'' 2560x1440 Koerans.

BTW I quite like the thin bezels, however the bottom bezel seems to be a bit too wide.

The price is what's going to make or break these displays. They make absolutely no sense if they aren't much cheaper then a current high res 27 or 30" display. You don't gain horizontal resolution, but loose vertical comparatively.

If they are priced to compete with 1080p displays, then I'm sure they'll be popular.

Hehe. True that eyefinity is not suitable for everyone. I personally don't notice these "bars" any more than I notice window frames when looking out of the window.
