[T-Break] LG brings 21:9 Ultrawide Aspect to Desktop Monitors - Page 2

Those would be awful in surround (3x) mode. The vertical axis is going to feel way too short, it will give the illusion of less screen real estate.

Agreed, you could just get a 30" monitor that's 2560x1440 and have black bars if you wanted this aspect ratio.

i love this, if only they made it curve and 1440 vertical pixels instead then it would be epic for games and productivity

To respect the 21:9 ratio, you would need 3360 horizontal pixels (3360x1440 resolution = 21:9)

But I agree, curved monitors should be awsome. There are already prototypes beeing made.

There is no 30" monitors with 2560x1440 resolution. And 2560x1440 resolution is still 16:9.

If these come in under $600 im gonna grab one for movies and whatever else i need to keep an eye on and put it over the top of my 16:10 24" screens. I can't stand the 3 side by side monitors.. too much head turning.

Because having such a small vertical space completely destroys the experience and hinders your view of the battlefield.

Still 16:9? Maybe that's why I mentioned using "black bars"...

30" with 2560x1600 would work fine if a 2560x1440 cannot be found. Again, black bars.

i like it. Need to see how games react to it.

This is a media display i think, not a productivity one. Games and movies will look hella good on this.
