looks interesting, it seems they took some ideas from GW2 in terms of pvp and class design, looking forward to give it a try biggrin.gif

You'll be "able to pick a class" - I thought the whole idea of Elder Scrolls is crafting your own class as you progress through the game?

This...

I think this MMO has a lot of potential, both good and bad. Quite frankly... this venture could ruin the image of the Elder Scrolls series. By appealing to the lowest common denominator you marginalize the whole fan base. Though I may try this game, I'm fairly certain I don't plan to be a pre-order or first month buyer. If they have a free trail like WoW, I'd do that though.

They talked about that and explained how you pick one class and then from there you specialize into what you want to be.
For example Battle-Mage... Probably pick a mage/wizard class at first, then go heavy armor with whatever weapon you choose.

Stealth-Healer-> Probably go healer light armor and daggers?

Something along those lines, that's what I got from the video though.

I wonder what technologies the game engine will take advantage of.

Yeah I saw that, but still seems like a more limited/"dumbed down" version of what, at least partially, TES is known for. Either way I'm intrigued.

Those castle siege scenes reminded me a lot of Lineage 2. I just hope they don't go the "you must enter this instance to do PVP"-route. I believe PVP should be a world-enabled thing in MMO's - It adds a level of intensity and risk which games need more of, imo.

From what I gathered, the class you pick is just guidance for your character, you can still basically choose what you want to be and how you want to play.

Id get all excited over this, but I got bored of GW2 after 2 weeks.....
