It loves high volts. Like, you might be able to run 1.5-2-2-2 @ 2.4v, but at 2.3, you might be stuck at 2-3-3-5.

I ran my Wintec Ampo @ 3.3v (no heat spreaders, poor airflow) @ 219Mhz 2-3-2-4 1T for benching once in a while.

Ran it for a month straight once. Don't really worry about it. Definatly not good for it, but yeah.

If your really paranoid, don't break 3v.
You shouldn't have a problem at 3v.
If you have BH-5, go all out.
Well I contacted PQI via email about it, so hopefully I'll hear back soon. If not, I'll just give them a call monday of something...

It would be VERY nice to run DDR500 with this even with 5-5-5-15 timings and 2.8v

Intel prefers frequency over timings right?

Ok, so speedfan doesn't give me the mem voltage at all... it only gives vcore, 12v, and something called AVcc?

So how the hell do I measure the vdimm already?!? Will hardware mon. in the BIOS tell me after I reboot with the updated settings?

The bios should give out fairly accurate readings.

If you're not sure if your ram is tccd or bh5, it's important to remember that bh-5 will NOT boot at CAS3 (3-4-4, 3-x-x, etc).

Yes, intel prefers frequency over timings...

2.8-2.9v is the limit for tccd. It does NOT like overvolting. Until you're sure it's not tccd I'd keep it 2.8v

Thanks man, you've been the most help so far

I'll try for 2.8v 5-5-5-15 DDR500 if I have to I've been told that these sticks OC very well, some have gone to like 475 on 2.65v, but we'll see... I'm hoping I can get my frequency up with just a bump of voltage and keep my timings tight. During 1:1 when I first started, they finally crapped at DDR440 with 2.6v and 2.5-3-3-7 timings, so maybe they'll get that extra 60 I hope so! Wish me luck.

Well it definately isn't BH-5 if you are absolutely positive that BH-5 doesn't boot with CL3. System booted perfectly fine with 3-4-4-8 timings.

I'll pump the vdimm to 2.8 and go for DDR500 3-5-5-15

my DDR Ballistix runs at 2.9/3.0 Volts, and has been for the past 4 months
I have 2 fans on it of course

for most Ram however, 2.85/2.9 is good value to go by

Well 2.8v 3-5-5-15 DDR500 won't post, so I'll leave it be for now. With just a quick check, the highest I could get the RAM to boot was DDR460 with 2.8v 3-5-5-15 and no fan on it, so it probably got quite hot... But maybe when I have more time I'll go for 2.9v with a fan on the RAM to keep them cooler. I still hate not being able to get a reading on my Vdimm though...

Oh well, thanks for all your help in this adventure guys.
