I think people are really misinterpreting their announcement about not working on the PC version yet. They've had a staggered PC release for every GTA since 3. People had the same concerns about IV, but lo and behold, it came out.

R* has already said there are no plans to release RDR on PC. Think of it from a business stand point. You'd have to spend money to port it, knowing the history R* has with PC gaming they know they won't make money with it. It'll be downloaded and played, yes but a lot of copies will be pirated versions. People who really want to play RDR, pick up a used PS3 if you have to and get RDR.

Look at what happened to Max Payne 3, sold way less then they had hoped. Hell apparently R* delayed GTA development to push this out.
