Yeah but 1 x HD 7970 can handle 2560 x 1440 @ MAX.

How? by enabling dynamic VSync? I'm not sure I follow.

The results of RadeonPro are quite impressive, I'm gonna have to try that when i get home.

RadeonPro/Dynamic vsync isn't a solution since you have to set the FPS to an artificial low to be able to handle more GPU intense scenes. Any scene that drives your FPS below the level you set is still going to stutter.

Honestly, this review is just bunk and shows that THW is really out of touch with actual gaming.

The solution is to use D3Doverrider and force triple buffering. They go through all the effort to make pretty graphs, even going as far as to use third party software yet completely ignore a vastly superior solution with D3Doverrider. Nobody who understands these issues uses double buffered vsync anymore. Show us some benchmarks and graphs with triple buffering.

The micro-stuttering bit was nice to read.

Some of us HATE water. Its dumb to us. It's a hassle and a half. Waste of damn money.

I don't understand people who complain about GCN's power consumption. Compute performance comes at a price, as exemplified by Fermi.

agreed

It is nice for things to be efficient, but this would be like Car and Driver comparing super-cars and having gas mileage have any sort of impact on the overall winner of the comparison

Wast of money when you spend 1K in a GPU? Silence and over-clocking is everything.
