1000 dollars budget NEW RIG

Thread Starter
Hi folks! Im planning to build a new rig and I got a 1000 bucks budget.
Im thinking about getting some of the components on this coming black fri and cyber monday.
For now all I need are all the pricey ones like the MOBO, PSU, CPU,water cooler, Monitor, SSD,HDD, coz i think i can get a good deal for all of those this coming thanksgiving week.
And if any of you already have an idea of where to get this parts. Please let me know too.
Thanks a bunch!!
Btw already got a GPU so , maybe just the components above will do.

I'm also buying a computer for 1200€ with monitor so 1000€ withouth the monitor. And I already got the list of components so maybe I can help you with it a little.

So here's the list of the things im getting:
i5 3570K a favorite by many people
Asrock Extreme4 everyone likes this one also I think biggrin.gif
Noctua NH-U12P I'm getting it cause its cheaper in the shop im buying in if you buy the whole computer wink.gif for watercooling I have no idea
Samsung SSD 840 120GB 830 was good and they're almost the same price so why not
Thermaltake Smart M650W not sure about this one but reviews say its good and a friend recommended it to me
I got some HDD's at home so I won't be buying those, but people say Caviar Black is the best or cheaper is the Caviar Blue
Dell Ultrasharp 2312HM great response time for an IPS and I would like an IPS so why not biggrin.gif

And that would be it I think. I'm taking the 7950 too but you already got a GPU so you can maybe get some better things. Also you in america can be happy for the Black friday... I'm jealous wink.gif

If the Hyper 212 Evo is cheaper than the NH-U12P that would be the thing to buy.
The Samsung 830 is a better buy than the 840 because it has MLC NAND and faster sequential speeds.
As for the PSU, I would rather look at the Rosewill Capstone lineup (through they got OOS for the most parts recently).
The best regular HDD you can get right now is the WD10EZEX. Althrough its a Caviar Blue its the first single-platter drive from WD and its significantly faster than all their other Caviar's.
And yeah, the 7950 is a great value at the moment. thumb.gif

If it is to be a dedicated folding rig, load up with as many nVidia GTX5xx video cards as the budget and/or motherboard will allow.
Very soon GPU folding will be where the huge PPD are at.
