Very strange indeed.

I would flash the BIOS in this situation. When I first got my motherboard I was having issues with two of my ram slots. After flashing the BIOS I did't have any issue.

oops. ram should still work without heatsink though, mostly for aesthetics. Did you narrow it down to 1 or 2 sticks? Or is it the mobo?
EDIT: that shouldn't happen under normal conditions. I would contact corsair for rma

It's the mobo. I've tried EVERY single slot, and I always get that wierd stuff after ~1-2. I then put the same stick in my brothers computer, and it has been running fine for 6h.

I probably won't RMA the stick whose heatsink fell off, since I can put it back on with ease. It won't stay there if I try to remove it from the mobo, but it's fine as long as I don't touch it. (and it doesen't really need it)

And because I'm broke. I can barely afford shipping the mobo
