Is gtx660 worth it? - Page 3

To me i found the 660Ti to be my overall choice in slight upgrade from a 6950, it to me was a logical choice. I will hold off until the next get cards are released to see what they will do. Until then i will finish up the other elements of my build until the next best upgrade comes out that will future proof my GRFX obsession for a while.

Thanks. I have looked at several benchmarks and reviews and most are just confusing.
mainly looking at this card due to the price.

If the 7870 didn't exist then perhaps thumb.gif

Costs as much as a 660 and performs like a 660 Ti

To OP, I own a 660, it is a fantastic little card. It is not ideal for OCing due to its tight power requirements.

but +100/+400 is not out of the question, it is just slightly faster then one of my older 480's

lol, does more than my GTX 670 if you can get +100/+400.. Around +90/+350, my ref 670 starts choking :'(

My buddy has one and he really likes it. Says it gets good frames and he games at 1080p.

However they have the MSI 670s for $359.99 with the 10% off codes which knocks $34 off. Something to consider. smile.gif

i have evga 660 ftw signature 2 3gb with somehow 1180mhz boost clock, tough it should be 1137, and its great
ultra details bf3 35-62fps avg 40-45 on 1080, skyrim 60-80fps

yes i have buyers remorse, but since i have q9550 @ stock, dont plan to oc or change platform and i get 95% both gpu and cpu usage in bf3 it would not make sense to step up to 660ti. pricewise it would be going from 235eur card to 305eur card just for 5-6fps (42v 48 fps). again i dont oc so not much gain

next 2 years we have only gta v if ever, crysis 3, just cause 3, bf4 to come
