Hey just checking in since you checked in on mine. I've gotten pretty far: http://www.overclock.net/t/1318077/build-log-my-first-liquid-cooling-project-600t-2500k-6870

I would suggest compression fittings too. They do look way better than hose clamps imo. Also, just keep researching anything you can. And be careful. My gpu seems to have died after putting on my gpu waterblock. I've also bent pins on 2 motherboards being lazy and putting the cpu in with the case upright. Luckily i bent both back and it works again.

Good luck and I'll sub.

^what happened to your gpu??? I think I will get compression fittings just due to the vast options.

Yeah, chrome compression fittings look awesome. If you see my 600t build, you can see the murderbox I based mine after. I know monsoon compression fittings are popular. I used swiftech lok seals just cuz I was ordering from swiftech. Also, if you're going for asthetics, get mayhem coolant. It looks silvery like shampoo.

My gpu just doesn't work. I get a red VGA LED on my asus mobo and i get no post. So that sucks. New one is already in the mail. I'm using my old 8800 gts for now.

Good luck on yours. I'll keep following.

^ You might be following for awhile as I don't plan on buying these parts too quickly lol. Regardless I was thinking of either monsoon or bitspower fittings. As far as coolant I was thinking of the pastel series from mayhem thumb.gif

Finally got the ek block and swiftech pump in! The cpu block is a lot more massive than I thought it to be lol. As much as I want to finish up this water cooling rig, I'd like to get a new mobo first that way when I decide on getting a new one I wont have to worry about disturbing the loop. So the way I see it is mobo first then water cooling parts(rad, reservoir, tubes, fittings) and I'll be good to go! thumb.gif I'll be creating a build log as I go.
