Well, Toms hardware (I know, eww) recently did an article comparing GTX690 to some of these new dual tahiti cards. They tested microstutter and as we all know the 690 came off looking really well. They also tested with Radeonpro's dynamic framerate control and it really smoothed out frametimes.
I decided to try it out. Stalker Clear Sky has some of the most horrendous microstutter that I've ever seen. Its kept me from playing the game its so bad. I set a cap to 59fps with Radeonpro and now its smooth as silk.
I also noticed a couple of other features that I haven't seen anyone mention here surprisingly. First of all is an option called Dynamic Vsync. Does this description sound familiar?
There is also an option to force SMAA and FXAA. I can't wait to try this in a couple of the games that the SMAA injector wouldn't work in.
There is also a full osd that sounds like it might be on par with Afterburner's.
There is also all of the great profile editing options, of course.
You can pick up the latest build from here. Apparently japamd plans on releasing a new build in a few days.
I can't believe that more people don't talk about this tool. It seems like a must have. AMD really needs to put this guy on staff.

Quote:
Dynamic Vsync Control (DVC) support. This feature controls how vertical synchronization is applied at rendering time, automatically turning it off when frame rate is below monitor's refresh rate to reduce stuttering and turning it on when framerate is above or equal to monitor's refresh rate, improving smoothness.
There is also an option to force SMAA and FXAA. I can't wait to try this in a couple of the games that the SMAA injector wouldn't work in.
