hehe ^^

I knew what you ment though thumb.gif
It would indeed give more contrast. But the copper ram heatsinks will do this as well. And since the copper of the paint is a bit different from the heatsinks, it might look off. Maybe I'll have to mount it with both of them black at first to see what would be better...

looked at the case just now...
The backplate should indeed stay black. The orange from the mobo heatsinks and ram is to far off from the copper paint for it to match. The bracket is still up for discussion though^^

Ohhh I forgot about the heatsinks. Darn.
Well I guess it's up to you, if you could post some pics of it (doesn't have to be mounted, just kinda next to each other) then I could maybe get a better idea of what it looks like.

uh found this thread so late.

I think its a pretty nice move to make a firefly custom build. I know the TV now for like 4 weeks and it is one of my favorite TV shows after all. I hope more people found out its a good show like me lol
The photos and the PC itselfs looks really good. I love orange - black themed builds. Want to see the final build smile.gif

One question: How are these Xigmatek led fans? Is the cfm / db ratio good?

You could use it if you ever decide to get a full loop.

Better late then never! thumb.gif

I have to agree, everyone should watch the series. It's more then worth it!

The Xigmatek fans aren't that good. I have them running at 5V most of the time, since they are quite noisy beyond that. I guess 7V would do the trick as well. They move enough air, but they are not anywhere near the performance of the better fans like Cougars or AP14/15.

If they weren't so essential to the look of my build, I wouldn't use them.

When I switch to watercooling, thats definetly goona be used! Thx mate biggrin.gif

edit: only problem would be the thickness, 60mm will be very hard to fit inside the C70 frown.gif
