Can these 2 monitors have their PCB's updated to the OC Version in the near future?

Hi Guys, Could anyone tell me if there is a possibility of updating the PCB's to the OC Version on these two monitors in the near future?
Also, any opinions you may have about them.:

New YAMAKASI CATLEAP Q271 RETINA ver.1 LED 27" S-IPS 2560X1440 HDMI DisplayPort PIP Monitor

And

New 30" Inch Yamakasi 300 Sparta Multi HDMI 1.4a 2560x1600 S-IPS Monitor

I think I'm leaning toward the Q271 Retina Ver.1 because of the DisplayPort and the 3D capability it apparently has,
but the 300 Sparta Multi is has the 10:16 Aspect Ratio, and larger screen.

Pros?
Cons?
anyone?

NEED HELP PLEASE! thumb.gif

No, maybe Yes but no, all of the multi's will skip frames so they don't actually OC. Even if you get an new PCB the new board will ONLY have a DVI-D and not HDMI/DP so even if you get it work, which I have no idea about, it would still only have DVI which defeats the purpose of you buying the multis to begin with.

IF you still want the OC's there's only two places that will have them as far as we know and they will only have a single DVI input but they should have 3.5mm jack for your speaker input. tongue.gif

Thank you for your insight on the PCB OC update possibility, I hadn't thought about it in that way, but it makes perfect sense.

However, this also made me wonder if there would be a way of using this display as it is for my day to day purposes,
but then also have a way to hook it up to a Stand Alone OverClockable, PCB, DVI Interface for gaming?

I realize it could get complicated and a custom wiring harness would be needed to be able to switch the display over and then back again. But it is the only way I can imagine being able to get all the ports and the Non-Frame Skipping 120Hz I'm looking for.

your thought's on this idea would be very welcome! rolleyes.gif

I'm not really to savvy in electronic engineering or whatever the department is that is needed to answer your question tongue.gif , I'm just one of the earliest members at the OC sites for the monitors and current owner of one so all of my reading and hanging around the sites helped me retain some stuff. . I would advise to head over to Overlord computers and ask scribby specifically about this issue as I'm sure he's gotten this questions quite a bit.

Thanks for your reply junkboy, I really do appreciate you taking the time. I sent an email to Scribby at his OverLord computer site 2 days ago, asking him for his opinion about doing this, but still as of now atleast I have not heard back from him at all? mad.gif
Is there anyone else you would recommend, that would know about this question that I could ask? I would really like to know if it would be feasible to do this to get what I want out of this Monitor.

Thanks Again

I'll ask some people and check around then send you a pm with a definitive answer. I was being semi lazy last time (my Saturday off tongue.gif) but I'll check for you in a bit, and will let you know.
