Good microphone for voice recording?

Hello everyone,

I haven't been on this forum in a while. I've been focusing on learning electronics. Now I feel that I want to share my knowledge with the world. I have a few powerpoint presentations I want to record and narrate, but my current microphone is an el cheapo $10 headset that is very muffled, and very noisy.

I've been looking around at Blue Mics, Audio Tecnhica, and others, and I'm not quite sure what to get.

I want a very open sounding and clean sounding mic. One that doesn't sound like I'm in a cave or hiding under a pillow. Something crisp and clean.

Any ideas?

My budget is under $50 preferably, but I can stretch to $75-100 if it's really that good.

Thanks!

a blue snowball is the best option in your price range. its currently just over $60 on amazon but im sure you could find it even cheaper elsewhere. It produces very clean sound but i would suggest buying a wind screen to go in front of it to limit breath noise.

Thank you. I've had my eye on a Snowball for about 5 years now. Any other suggestions?
