With the low efficiency of Solar panels, and the poor efficiency of water electrolysis of state of the art technology(not the stuff in R&D), you probably wouldn't produce enough H2 to keep you from running out, but you could easily produce some while the car was parked.

And then you slew my theory crafting sad-smiley-002.gif

I know the idea needs some work, mostly better tech, patents for which are probably already owned by exxon...

This is not about piss being a fuel. It's about gaining a energy back when you treat waist water. Like regenerative braking if you will. Instead letting that energy escape its captured and put to use.

Ok well something needs to be said for the thousands of tons of feces they collect that can be used to produce methane too. I really think you're right as far as this never being practical for consumer use. As someone mentioned, it's likely to turn into a biobomb if you're not careful.

A fuel cell would be a better choice for generation, on a side note.
