can anyone in here can explain to me, how to use 8 x MSAA on battlefield 3? because I see in tomshardware review, that they use that for their test.

It's in the graphic settings if that's what you're trying to enable smile.gif

Haven't seen any ability to enable 8Xaa. Plus I bet its a frame rate killa. You'd really have to have SLI to try that... But it sure might look nice. 4XMSAA looks darn good, can't imagine why you'd want more...

hmm, I am confused about this, yeah I want to try that, because when using 4xMSAA I can get 70 - 90 FPS @1080p with GTX 670, so I think I can still play the game with 8xMSAA, if that settings will kill my framerate to below 45 FPS (45 FPS which I call it playable myself), I will turn back the settings to 4xMSAA instead.

Try overriding from the NVIDIA control panel, not all games support this, but I believe BF3 does.

With that being said, it will probably be pretty brutal on performance if it works.

I normally run Fraps on with my BF3 gameplay, and I have x8 MSAA in the NVCP (in-game Post AA disabled). It looks amazing but you're not going to notice it much while actually playing, even less in Close Quarters (Armored Kill = visually awesome, but I rarely play it). If you're interested in the framerate impact/performance, this video of mine has render.drawfps enabled, so the in-game framerate counter is viewable top right:. Note that Close Quarter maps are not as demanding as say, Caspian Borders or Gulf of Oman.

Settings: Ultra @ 1920x1080 (no motion blur), FoV = 90, no Post-AA, x8 MSAA enabled in NVCP.

PC Specs:

Corsair 600T Graphite Special White Edition
OCZ 850W ZX Series 80 Gold Plus
Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe
Intel Core i7 3770k (4.5 GHz @ 1.19 Volts)
Corsair H100 Liquid Cooling (Standard push from topside, radiator below inside case)
EVGA Superclocked Signature + Backplate GeForce GTX 680
16 GB Corsair Vengeance (XMP 9-9-9-24 @ 1600 MHz )
256 GB Crucial M4 SSD

thanks for all, but when I enable 8xMSAA on NCP, should I turn off 4xMSAA on BF3 game settings / control panel?

Its certainly not a framerate killer, ive got mine on 16x CSAA and get 45+ fps on ultra settings, don't use global settings, click the program settings tab, choose bf3 and change AA to "enhance the application ".
