Spare parts for htc one x?

Thread Starter
Hey, i was thinkin of doin my first home repair of my htx one x since sending the phone for service would be expensive, so i wanna do it myself.

Where can i buy the motherboard which has the charging slot on? cause the charging part on the phone is completly unusable cause one of the pins are bended all the way in to the end of the slot and since i've rootet the phone and dont know how to turn it back to stock, im stuck with 4.0.1 there too.

Will it be expensive to buy this parts?

It would probably make up like 3/4 the cost of a new phone since it has the processor and other main components soldered on to it, if I were in your place I'd just stomach the repair fee or by someone who specializes in these things who might do it for probably a lot less than what HTC might do for you.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you! smile.gif

Just the Charger port is messed up? Like this part?

I can't really tell from the picture, but on the phone does it look soldered in?

Well, this is how it looks:

Soldered?

And yes, mainly it's only the charger piece you've linked i need majorly to get it to work tongue.gif

But does it needs to be wielded? or is it just a clip on?

Sorry for the incredibly late reply!

That's actually what I was asking, I thought you had opened it already. And its not called welding, but its almost the same thing. Its called soldering, pronounced with the L silent though (sometimes). But yes, where you connect the two metals together with assistance of a third (flux/lead). In that case, you'd need to get someone with a good amount of experience (and luck), or replace the entire board. Hopefully it is a clip on, but I wouldn't know. Maybe a tear down video will show you.
