“Halo 4” officially released on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in what turned out to be the biggest launch in the history of the “Halo” franchise. 343 Industries took on full development behind “Halo 4,” which is shown above, making this the first “Halo” title that has not been influenced by Bungie. Now that the game has launched, it has been reported that this title has sold a total of 3.1 million units during its opening day.

Halo 4 is just badass! !
Played all the Bungie Halo games...

Got to this, was thoroughly impressed, showing the more human side of master chief was a good option.

It was a pretty good campaign, short, but good. Multiplayer is again where it shines.

It is deserved. I was actually quite optimistic about 343 taking the reigns. H4 is definitely the kind of Halo I prefer. This new series is in good hands.

I know I was at the midnight release. Very impressed with this release. They have officially squeezed everything they can out of the xbox 360 graphically speaking. Gameplay is fantastic and campaign on legendary takes some time and strategy unlike the last games. Well done 343.

Wow, I didn't even know Halo 4 was out. Crazy what you quit paying attention to when you graduate college, get a job, and your Xbox breaks.

Hopefully the next Xbox is back-compatible. I sure love Halo, but I'm not buying a new Xbox 360 this close to its end-of-life just for Halo 4.

I heard another OCN member say "Halo 4 looks so good on my TV, it's like Microsoft was able to enable a second GPU in the Xbox to make it look that way."

Indeed, I've heard it's a spectacular game. smile.gif Good work 343. thumb.gif

The scenery in the game looked fantastic. Stuff up close, not so great. it seems they used extremely high quality images for the backdrops. The excessive use of lens flares worked well too. Maybe a little overdone, but overall the effect was great.
