Yeah, old seagate drives were garbage, I believe they have improved tremendously on their newer 1tb platter hdds though. I just bought a 2tb seagate drive from ncix for 88 dollars shipped, works great, and is fast. It was rated 5 stars on ncix with 51 reviews, so I jumped on it.
