Don't bother, wait 6 months for haswell then upgrade, in addition to the newer chipset, the price of the 3930 will lower. Incidently going with a 6 core, why?

No need to wait... everyone always tell you to 'wait'...then the waiting game never ends.
if your on a budget i recommend

if your not on a budget then any 300 dollar level board will do. They pretty much does the same job.. pick the one you like the look best and the brand best.

I personally like the extreme6, cheap price, reliable and comes with a sound card.
only reason you will want to spend more than $300 is for 4-way SLI. All the above boards overclock pretty good and will get your cpu to 4.5ghz easy.

It's funny how people always say "time is money", but when it's time to upgrade a pc, they say to wait. You can always wait 6 months and get newer/better hardware. Sometimes you're just ready to pull the trigger "now".
