Where? Mechanical keyboards to try in London.

Thread Starter
Anyone know any shops to go try decent mechanical keyboards in London? I'd like to have a feel and a bit of a touch type to see what I might get on with. If I'm going to spend some decent money and keep it for a long time, then I want a nice one and I'm less keen on making a mistake.

The only places i can think of would be retail shops. I know that PCWORLD stock the razer blackwidow which has MX blues. You may be lucky and they may have another board on display with reds. You can buy individual switches from Amazon if the worst comes to the worst.

Hop on to bit-tech.net mechanical keyboards thread and get in touch with the dudes there.

Quite a few londoners with a wide range of boards that won't mind meeting up I should imagine (they've organised keyboard meets before).

Also don't bother trying out different keyboards for the quality, as I will tell you now that Filcos are the best boards, followed by other boards made by the same OEM (costar) and the (uglyish) cherry boards.

Of similar quality are the Korean boards from Qtan, KBT Omni, Keycool, HPE, etc (Google esports gaming equipment).

Stuff from the OEM iOne are of a lesser quality (Razer, Qpad, CM Storm QFR Pro (not the rapid that one is costar), etc).

If you want to try switches then there are other methods..
