Not really

3770k is 229$ @ microcenter + 40$ off MB tou could walk out with cpu+mb+ram for under 350$

3930k only Benifits somebody who is gonna be doing nothing but 3d modeling 24/7 if you do it once a day.. i do not see the need.. twice the price...

You should get your best bang for the dollar right now and go all in on Haswell in 5 months.

But if thats what u want and u wanna spend all that money it is up to you.

You're not going to find a deal that is anything close to this in Montreal.

buying a 3770k system now and then upgrading to haswell when it comes out will probably end up costing more in the long run than a good x79 setup. for your needs i would also say go with the x79. from what i have seen thus far for the IB-E CPUs, it may also just be worth getting the 3930K and not upgrade to the IB-E, they don't appear to have anything special going on.

1150 Cpu +mb +ram will be less then Just The IB-E cpu wink.gif

Anywho if u can get the IB-E 3930k+MB for 700$ and a 3770k is 350$ there id just get the 3930k and go with it.

I donno With a Nice OC and the better igpu and 10-20% performance over IB 1155 I can see Haswell steam rolling IB-e in single threaded and coming pretty close in multi threaded...

I just do not see the Need of a 12 threaded chip for anyone who does not have a Studio or running a Company off it..

You will not notice any difference besides a lighter wallet.

The thing that makes IB-E better in the multi threaded thing.. Is running 2 instances of rendering at once and being able to do so at great speed..

If your just running one at a time the difference is minimal.

Even more so if ur doing maybe once or twice a day or less " one at a time"
