Hi, OCN. I have no idea what a primary master position is. Can someone enlighten me?

Go into bios and chose the boot sequence; where if the firmware is on a flash drive or on CD then you would chose that as your first boot.

I think that may be where I am confused, the "drive" is the bootable usb with the firmware and not the HDD that needs to be flashed, correct? Sorry to ask for clarification, I just don't want to fudge 5 hard drives.

Not correct. Just posting this in case anyone comes across the thread. After not being able to get this done I asked Google and read all his answers and the answer ended up being that the flash needs to be done with the mobo set for IDE and the drive being flashed has to be set as Master and I don't know how to do this without ruining my evening.
