The stupid thing only cost us about $9,000 for the booth (metal lights, fan, supply of filters, etc), another $5,000 or so to install it (electrical, assembly, and cutting the hole in the roof for the exhaust stack), but it cost us over $27,000 in legal fees in dealing with the EPA to get all the permits, EPA approval, and general paperwork.

BINKS!! Nice.. wheee.gif

Ok, picture time!

Here are all the parts with a fresh coat of flat black paint on them. NEXT TIME I'll know to be a little more careful when test fitting everything. wink.gif

Here is a little part that wasn't from Dwood. Nothing special, just a spacer that goes between the bottom of the pedestal and the drive bay bracket to bring the XSPC Twin D5 Bay Reservoir up to the exact height needed for the front cut out.

Knowing that the gunmetal from NZXT would be most likely next to impossible to match up if I painted the pedestal, I opted to go with a flat black color for the pedestal. There are flat black accents in the original Switch 810 case that will match perfectly, and with the stock gunmetal above and below the pedestal, it will look like it came from the factory as a "racing strip" or such.

This is the pedestal with the air intake vent reinstalled. Gotta love "Frost King" shrink windows mounting tape. It's sticky as sin and ultra thin, making for virtually no gap between the pedestal metal and the vent.

A nice side shot of "Muzzle Flash" resting on it's new base.

Yes, I think the black, gunmetal, and orange will make for a very nice look on this build. thumb.gif

Well, back to work I go. Got to tighten up some screws, then carefully put the Monsta 360 and bay reservoir in the pedestal and start feeding the power and water hoses up to the upper part of the case.

Thank you.

After looking at that shot, and looking at your build log, I just realized that I really need to follow your example and tear those NZXT fans apart and paint the fan blades orange. Not that they will be seen, but just to make the orange and gunmetal theme complete.

I've also got to come up with an idea on what to cover up that Seasonic 1000W PSU sticker with. A sticker would be just plain boring.

Maybe a painted orange plate that will proudly display the Samsung 840 Pro SSD drive?

That is looking really really good. You are making me get another 810 and do something with that using a pedestal... *Must not give in, and wait for the 900D* hehehe.

Come to the dark side! Get the Dwood pedestal.

I plan on still getting a 900D, even after this build is done. Can never have too many custom computer builds. biggrin.gif

Dude, compared to your and Jassilamba's builds, I'm just a "tweaker". You guys did full out insane customizing. I just tweaked what I had with a little paint and a Dremel.

Ok, today is a major assembly day for "Muzzle Flash":

1) Permanently bolted down the pedestal to the Switch 810.
2) Installed the pumps and reservoir. Installed the fans and radiator.
3) Added a drain tube with 'T' handle cut off/drain valve.
4) Mounted 3 black fan grill covers.
5) Ran enough Durelene tubing to get up to the top part of the case to connect the other radiator and water blocks for the CPU and dual video cards.

Pedestal is bolted to the Switch 810 and the reservoir/pumps are installed.

Here is a close up of the front of the rig and the reservoir.

Another view of the Pedestal with the reservoir/pumps installed.

After a whole lot of time propping things up to hold the Monsta 360 radiator up and align 3 Gentle Typhoon AP-14's (no easy task I might say since I had basically load everything from the rear of the pedestal), here is a shot of the exhaust side of the case ... which will face the wall of my computer area. As much as I like the look of those copper fasteners that came with the Monsta 360, I may end up eventually replacing them with some hardware from Fastnel.

A shot of "Muzzle Flash" from what will be it's normal viewing angle. Sitting behind her is "The Betty", the i7 965EE in a modded ABS 965 Canyon case.

Another shot from the side, or front depending on your point of view. Thankfully the Switch 810 and pedestal fit on my computer desk without hitting the upper cabinet (just barely) that houses/hides more electronic gear (FiOS router, etc).
