I would have gone with a crystal link tube off the top GPU to the rear, but that's just me.

To me it would look cleaner and less like a plumber's band aid.

You're going to paint the RAM heat spreaders, right?

The system is up and running and I finally figured out the idiosyncrasies of this loop. As expected, depending on if the pumps are or or off and if the upper fill cap is on or off and if the lower reservoir fill cap is on or off, sends water around differently. After a long time, I figured that out and got all the air bubbles out of the loop and this this in QUIET. I love that sound that it makes just before the whole loop is about to go "dead quiet" as the last of the micro bubbles bleed out. It's like Christmas morning as a kid, at least for me. biggrin.gif

I had one minor leak, so I got to try out the new Bitpower 'T' handle drain valve I put in. Since it's the lowest part of the system in the pedestal, on one of the lowest ports on the Monsta 360 radiator, when I turn that handle ... WOOOSH ... the water drains out fast and controlled into a waiting 1 gallon jug. Turns out I forgot to put an 'O' ring on the Aquatuning in-line thermo coupler. I took it off when I removed it from a previous rig and I guess I forgot to put it back. Oh well, 5 minutes later it was back together, tightened up, and running with no leaks.

The whole thing has been running for an hour now on an external power supply (I've been watching the football game), no leaks, quiet as sin, and looking good.

I'll take some more pictures after the Baltimore Ravens game. thumb.gif

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I might have to get a set and try it. I was going to just cut some tubing and make it clear anyway, but for some reason, I figured this might look kewl. I'll live with it for a couple days and see how I like it. But I am leaning towards clear tubing.

I already plan to drain the loop at least 1 more time to add the Mayhem Gigabyte Orange when he reformulates it.

PIX !! or it didn't happen ! I know, the game is on. I have to keep checking to see what case you're building into, keeps sounding lately a lot like a CaseLabs build, what with all that pedestal talk wink.gif

So when you say Mayhem is gonna reformulate the orange ... um, what does that mean ? noob here
All sounds good, what a relief eh, to get it all running and purring smoothly smile.gif

Ok, here ya go. biggrin.gif

Here she is, all booted up, using the water cooling loop, with both GTX 580's in SLi. Temps at idle are showing between 29C and 33C for the 3770K and about 33C to 35C for the video cards.

Now I have to set up all the good stuff and start transferring over my programs and files ... and start overclocking to the max.

Mayhem wasn't happy with the color shade of his "Gigabyte Orange". Apparently the supplier of some chemical he used changed formulas on him and the shade didn't come out exactly as he wanted it, so he is going to work on it so the shade looks right again.

Yeah, I could have gone with a CaseLabs build, but this was a bit of a challenge to do what I did in a case that really wasn't designed to do all this. Besides, anyone can just buy an off the shelf CaseLabs case and throw in a ton of radiators and such, this is so far, a totally unique build. Even though Dwood built the pedestal for me, I helped him design exactly how I wanted it, and so far, to my knowledge, no one has done it quite the way I did before or since.

I will, I will. Sheeze! biggrin.gif

I still need to do a shake down of the whole system first.

I'm debating on exactly how I want to run the cables to the video cards now. Originally I was thinking of taking them down into the pedestal then up behind the motherboard tray, then through a gromet and to the card. Now, I'm tempted to just make them about 6" and 8" long and run them directly from the PSU to the video cards in nearly the shortest route and have them displayed in all their glory.

[Edit]

I'm still running on default voltages, but got things running at 3.8GHz (yeah, I know, weak-sauce), but after 45 minutes of my most commonly played video game (and MMO called Rift), at "Ultra Settings", my GPU temps are 33C and 35C on each video card, and between 34C and 39C on the CPU.

I guess I'll have to start looking at the other threads to see what good OC'ing settings are and get this puppy up to 4.5GHz at the very least.

But that will be tomorrow.

I have had my 3770k in the Sniper Build at 4.7 Rock Solid for months Now.. You should have no Problem getting that... thumb.gif

Here's a shot of my air TJ-04 with short vid cabling - before and after with cable bundlers.
That Seasonic plays havoc tho, with the 1 to 1 cabling.
