On a side note. I think I'm about done "test" and ready to pronounce 4.7GHz "stable". Most people would do this after just a couple hours of Prime95, but not me, 72 hours is what I generally consider enough time to be STABLE.

Hehehe, I know which ones you mean. wink.gif

I will. I also ordered another thing from Lutro0 as well. I don't really have to "review" it, I already know that it will be a really useful tool for sleeving.

PARACORD TOOL (THREADER)

After spending way too much time and trouble using little pieces of masking tape to put over the ends of connectors so they won't catch on the weaving and pull it, then pushing them through and having to find the edge of the tape and struggle to remove it, I can see this will be a huge time saver.

I looked at another build today that has the remote to change colors, but it just seems kinda silly to have a $1 remote to adjust the lighting on your $2K-5K computer. Hope you get it soon so that you can post on how it works...smile.gif

That was my thought as well. I will be sure to review it.

Thank you.

There is a phillips screw on each end of them. I simply unscrewed one end and slid the heatsink off. Then I painted 2 of them black and 2 of them orange. Waited until they were dry then slid them back on and put the screw back on.

I think the picture you saw of them yellow was taken with my camera phone. Here is a better shot of them with my DSLR.

Today I got the USB LED controller from Mobile Computing Solutions.

Not much to look at, but it is a complete system.

When they said this thing was small, they weren't kidding!

After about 30 seconds worth of reading, I hooked up the 4 LED wires (Red, Blue, Green, and +12V Out) to the LED strip and +12V from a Power supply to the controller and fired up the test software that came with it. It worked like a charm!

I'm going to shoot a short video and upload it to my Youtube channel in a bit. biggrin.gif

Here are another couple shots of where I temporarily put the LED strip inside the case, just to get a feel for how it might look.

And of course, a small video to show the lights in action ...

This!! thumb.gif I think that's classy looking with everything lit up with the white LEDs, very nice!!! thumbsupsmiley.png

And I'm sure in person it looks a whole lot better, I know your color matching is awesome from previous posts, the picture surely does not give it full justice since the orange looks more red in that picture. smile.gif You got me wanting to put white LEDs in my new build now!! tongue.gif

Thank you.

Yes, with white lights the orange really pops. I'm not the best photographer to get things going in ultra low light ... yet. That photo doesn't do it justice.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get the light to shine deeper on to the motherboard. I might have to cut and splice a second row down lower on the motherboard tray. Oh well, that is what this temporary setup is for.

The lights look great. One could almost ditch all the other lighting inside a case and just use that....:sneaky:might even be able to warn the wife of what kind of mood I am in when she come in to drag me away for the computer. So your over all opinion is a thumbs up on the usb controller? And thanks for the video.thumb.gif

Oh man! Those light strips are awesome as hell! I was laughing like a child when I watched your video demonstrating it. It's so cool! Suuuuuubd.
