Yeah, I'm thinking that.

I already have a good supply of "Shade 19". The orange is a must. I'm just wondering what the other might be. The yellow would be interesting, but then again, the Gray Mark II or Titanium might look nice too with the Orange and Shade 19.

Here are a couple more photos. Not a whole lot of progress today, I'm missing some key parts that hopefully will arrive tomorrow and later in the week. Still mulling over the color scheme for the wire sleeving.

The Switch 810 case with the motherboard, CPU, and SeaSonic 1000 Platinum power supply installed.

A couple of shots of the first coat of orange paint laid down on the XSPC RX360 radiator that will be installed in the upper part of the Switch 810 case. Again, the color in the camera doesn't do it justice. Lighting back there isn't the best for photography.

Dang man, looks sweet. Given me some ideas for finishing off my most recent "upgrade" or build. I'm gonna keep watching. The name is really what pulled me in. "Muzzle Flash" is really good one. Puts an image of an awesome CSS players gun flashing and a guy dropping dead across the map. Also obviously the image of you know, that happening in reality. But since its a PC the foremost one in my head is virtual.

Also just an aside, but you may need to reexamine your definition of the word "aging". If an i7 extreme edition is an aging rig in your mind, I shudder to think what you would have deemed what I just upgraded from (C2D, 8800GT). A dinosaur fossil, perhaps?

Keep it up man!

Second coat of orange is on the RX360 and I must say, it looks incredible. I really have to get a better camera. I wonder if I start dropping hints to the wife if she will get me a DSLR for Christmas. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I just finished my order over at MDPC. Maybe in a week or so all my loot will arive from Germany.

Most of it is for this project, but some of it will be for others as well.

Now I'm more psyched than before about this build and the color scheme. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
On a side note. I measured from the top inside of the case to the edge of the motherboard, where the heat sink is, and it is 83mm. I tried to push my RX360 up there under the fan that is already installed for a quick test, and the bottom of the radiator hits, which means when I reverse the order, the fan will hit the heat sink. MAYBE I could Dremel out part of the shroud and it would clear (I mean it is so close that I ALMOST manage to wedge the radiator in, but I would have to force that heatsink down and I'm just not sure if it's work risking damage to the motherboard.
So I don't think I'll put an XSPC RX 360 with 6 fans in there. I might just have to go with 3 fans in "pull", and 2 in "push" mode. Still, coupled with that Alphacool Monsta 360 with 6 fans in "push/pull", that should still be plenty of overkill for this system.
Board looks great, really.
At first when I saw this picture I was like who-let-rip-smiley.png But I guess because of the camera or lighting didn't look very good. But in your case up there ^....awesome.

Yeah, the camera really doesn't do the parts justice. I really need to drop about $700 to $1000 or so on a DSLR.

Same here...we've been checking out the black Friday specials, thinking about picking something up then. My point and shoot is getting dated. Would be cool to have a real nice camera for not only my builds, but my little ones are growing up fast (reason to talk the wife into it) haha wink.gif

And yet another package came in late yesterday. Last of the Bitspower fittings, Mayhem Orange dye, a couple AlphaCool G1/4" bulkhead fittings, and most imporantly, the Koolance CPU-380i water block. Now all I need is for Newegg to deliver my RAM and Windows 7 and Dwood to ship the Switch 810 pedestal and I can start the major assembly and testing. Sure I could wait for the items at MDCP to come, but I don't think I'll be able to. biggrin.gif

Well, it took DHL long enough (5 days ... when UPS usually takes just 1), but it's finally here. At least now I can throw on the stock cooler and fire this thing up and make sure everything plays together and start loading both Windows 7 Professional and Ubuntu.

It's alive!

Yeah, it's on a stock cooler, but at least everything POSTS. Now to see what I got laying around in the way of 500GB/1TB hard drives for a data drive and partition the 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD for Windows 7 and Linux.
