Enhance pointer precision in Windows, On or Off?

Should I have it on or off?

Off. I believe that is acceleration, which is terrible for gaming IMO. Only good for trackpads.

It's on by default under pointer options in the control panel, guess I'll turn it off?
The only thing I notice when it's on is that the slow mouse movements are too smoothed out, that makes the pointer to move too slow.

Just try to move your mouse really slow around an icon with EPP and without. It makes fast moves smoother, that's cool but the slow moves are dead and that's bad for games especially FPS games.

Just try it, and see what you like best. I personally notice nothing but improvement with having it set to on. (logitech G5)

Wow, no.

Off, off, off off.

Off is the answer you're looking for. acceleration results in inconsistent movement responses (moving 10cm will never give the same result, because it depends on the very slight speed difference you do it at.)

You're much better off having it off. Should it feel awkward at first, stick with it, and you'll experience a massive increase in pointer accuracy in whatever game you play within a week, i promise you. Especially if we're talking about FPS games.
