The ram has been no problem at all so far. I've played some intense games and done a lot of multitasking and have yet to see any lag. I don't believe there are many (if any) swipe gestures. That being said I so far don't see a need. Things such as deleting emails are very efficient by design and are probably just as quick as swiping. I'll try a few things that are found in Windows 8 and post back if I find anything.

Got Black 920 in hand from AT&T. Switched from Galaxy S2, had 3GS prior to that.

Loving both the hardware and WP8 OS.

Screen is amazing and I can say that black levels are very dark, to the point where I can't tell the difference where the screen ends and the bezel starts. OS feels very snappy and seamless. Tiles and live tiles are fun to rearrange and re-size.

Included Nokia apps seem to be of very high quality and work well. Maps app is very fast and responsive with 0 loading time. I also downloaded NA maps to the phone, this way I won't be using data to load them on the go.

I tried public transit app and it gave me correct routes to work from home (was very surprised) and correct estimated times of travel.

Took few photos @ night yesterday and as advertised the shots look phenomenal (for phone or PS camera).

So far I am very pleased with the phone and OS. Exactly what I was looking for. Some apps are still low-res, but I hope they will be updated eventually.

It seems that you can't force-quit or close apps and WP8 decides for you what to keep open, hence snappy performance 100% of time. I am all for that, was getting tired of all the settings and tweaks in ICS on Galaxy S2.

I've tried the 8X, built like a damn rock. Feels far sturdier than the 920; well, not the black(I haven't tried that one) but the other 920s feel awful.

Go figure, I on the other hand did not quite like the look and feel of the 8x.

This, I handled both the 920 and 8x, as well as the 820. The glossy plastic finish on the 920 makes it feel cheap and slippery, feels much less quality compared to the older Lumias, same with the 820. The 920 is too big for my hands, too, but that's just me.

The 8X on the other hand feels great, the soft touch rubber back has a lovely matte look, and feels wonderful in the hand. Easy to hold, much better shape and much more natural of a shape to hold in your hand. Feels better in every way.

I would have to agree. I got to play with the 920 for a bit tonight. It was a black one, which is the color I would get, and it was solid and nice, but the 8x really is a much more enjoyable phone to hold, IMO.

I really felt the 8x was very well made, solid, and feels absolutely great in your hand. Better than any other phone I have ever held. I wish the Lumia 920 was in the 8x case. It would be almost perfect!
