checking memory (actual) clock speed. question.

Thread Starter
Hey guys.

I just purchased a new PC and I got it with 16 gigs of 2133 memory.
Is there a good software to double check that its actually set and running at 2133 ?
Or do I just look somewhere in the bios? Because honestly I dont remember seeing anything about it in there.

So I guess, basicly Im looking for a little windows 8 utility to see the actually clock speeds of my memory.

Thanks in advance
Happy time PC.

yes that what it will report for 2133 RAM or close to that depending on BCLK fluctuations.. then you will know the RAM is set up properly as well
2133 RAM clock is 1066MHz
2133 is is the transfer speed measured in MT/s or Megaransfers per second

Well I got CPU-Z and it shows my memory to be at 667 MHz.
But it says my ram is called 2133X. The timings are 9, 9, 9, 24.
So then i went into the bios to look at my memory clocks and it says In There that its set to 667 MHz as well. But it has other options as well. One of the options was 1066 MHz.
But if I use that clock setting my timings will be 11, 11, 11, 30. So I'm not sure what I should do.
Leave it at 667 with better timing or go for the max 1066 with crappy timings.

What say you?
Happy time PC.

those timings arent very good at all for 667/1333 your 2133 probly has timings of 10-11-10-30 you can look on the sticker of the ram to find out and double check whoever you bought the pc from didnt scam you.
