Because Android never has problems.

My Google Nexus 7 and a whole bunch of other peoples' had terrible touch screen issues where it would lose sensitivity over time until a cold reboot was performed to temporarily fix it.

It took 4 months until the JZO54K binaries came out for it to be fixed.

I'm no guru but it seems to me that fast paced innovation plus lowered profit margins is going to result in ever buggier devices unfortunately.

Or, they have the product and have never noticed the issue, but know that OCN will blow the news out of proportion. Before you hate, you might want to think about other angles first.

Pro apple and defenders are no different then the android bunch. The lot of you guys blow everything out of proportion and make these threads over-dramatic.

Anyways, wonder if the touch recognition is only an issue when resources are being hogged up in the background. Updated OS should fix the issue more likely.

Yea there are a few pro-apple people that are just as bad, but I can count those on two hands, to count the android fanatics on OCN I'd need to start keeping a book. I understand why that is, this is a hardware enthusiast forum, people want open systems, they want to tweak and change things, they want the newest tech, biggest screen, fastest etc.

Honestly, read through the Apple news threads in the last month with an open mind. Count the anti-apple vs anti-android posts, they're about 20-1. Most of the people I've seen that are "pro-apple" aren't doing any bashing, they're just tired of the ridiculous Apple hate on this forum. I'll all for people expressing their opinions, so long as they do it constructively, and most of the Apple hate on OCN is far from constructive, making actual intelligent conversations about things next to impossible.

I see this turning into nonesense since Apple is in the title, but seriously all devices have their issues. Galaxy S3 has/had its wifi, microphone, battery charging, etc issues. Galxy Nexus has/had 4g conectivity, audible popping, gps locking issues. HTC One-X has a wifi hardware issue. I can go on and on.

Any device can and will have issues. If it is physical, that sucks and we have to wait and see how they handle it. If it is software, they will put out an update for it in a while (not a verizon while lol).

To follow our conversation of the thread that got locked; The reason why it seems like a software issue is because the tracking of the diagonal movement is correct... it's only after a few seconds that it stops taking inputs. If it were a hardware problem it wouldn't react correctly to the movement... not stop taking inputs after a specific amount of movement.

Your argument was that if it were software, the problem would be seen in the iPhone 4/4S too... but that difference is probably due to the fact that the new iPhone has a new touchscreen technology which probably required new software to be written for it... and that's where the bug comes in - in the touch-recognition software written for the new iPhone's thinner display tech.
