Display issue after OC

Thread Starter
Hey guys, i have just have built my very first rig, here are the components and the problems that i am having:

MOBO: Asus P8Z77-V LX

CPU: I5 3570k @ 4.183 Stock cooling (i guess it's stable since the motherboard did itself...)

GFX: Asus hd6770 (eah6770 http://uk.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6770_DC2DI1GD5/)

Display: Samsung SyncMaster 2023NW 5ms 1680x1050

Any more questions about the rest of the hardware just tell me!

Problems:

I have some weird display errors when OCing my gfx (i do have a small tweak of 870MHz and 1020 memory. I did OC this very same GFX in my previous build which was VERY outdated and another display (1280x1024). I cannot have access to my previous things since i moved to England!

Any help would be very appreciated and here is my other problem with my CPU graphics (i want them to use Virtu MVP): http://www.overclock.net/t/1325014/integrated-gfx-problem-plus-auto-oc#post_18555362

Thanks, Tomas

The overclock is probably no longer stable at the higher resolution you are using. You're either not getting sufficient cooling for the card or it needs more voltage to run at those clocks.

Are you having the same problem when the card is run at stock settings? If so, it may be going bad on you.

The card runs at 50ยบ celcius when it is at 880 1210 with 20% fan speed and it has a 140mm blowing against it, and i just bought 500w elite from cooler master witch isn't the best 500w power supply by any long shot but i thought it would do the job... But i have no idea since i am already OCing the CPU but it might be it.

And no i am not having the same problem when the card is at stock frequency. Thank you for the reply! smile.gif
