AGILITY4 SHOCKINGLY LOW SPEED! PLEASE HELP!

Thread Starter
Hello, everyone. I have recently bought an OCZ Agility4 128GB ssd, and i actually hate it. It has got really low speeds. I currently have it setup on my MSI Z77A GD65 motherboard, on the SATA 6GB/s Port from the Z77 chipset. it is in ACHI mode aswell. The drive is also just under half full, if that makes a difference in performance.

Here are my AS SSD speed tests:

And just an ATTO SSD speed test for more evidence.

Please please help me and tell me how i can at least get my reads to 400MB/s.

Thanks.

Are you using SATA 3 Port?
All chipset drivers installed?
Replaced SATA 3 cable?
Tried a different SATA port?
Checked for firmware updates?
Done a secure erase on the SSD?

Did you use a SATA3 cable? Make sure its on the right port, and make sure chipset drivers and MEI drivers are installed.

if i were to do a firmware update, it would erase the disk? i am not really in a position to do that at the moment. also, what is a secure erase?

My GD65 only came with SATA 6GB/s cables.

Secure erase resets all data to 0. It is the best possible method prior to installing a fresh copy of windows.
Firmware will not remove your data, but OCZ do say to back up important files just in case.
