Though a cheap 120gig wouldn't be bad for a starter.

On top of the "core items", what would pushing it be? Lets break the 1k barrier and go for "useful but not overpriced"

I would get good deals off of the members here. Always cheaper and usually guaranteed to work great.

Every computer >$750 requires a SSD these days. At ~$50 for a 60GB, there is no reason not to buy one.

How much more would that cost me? Would it be better to get the capture card over a GPU and CPU that can handle everything no problem?
are you playing metro on the pc or xbox first off?
if you want to stream it, i wouldn't even bother with anything over 720p to twitch, almost nobody goes full screen because they also want to chat.

anyways if you want to stream at 1080p, thats not really an issue since you have a nice upload.

a capture card will not help you stream if you are playing on pc. i am guessing that you are playing on pc.

Not really. Sort of want to future proof it so might as well get what can handle most to all things out now. Capture cards are expensive as they're mostly for professional use but I believe there was a few made for consumers you might try. You can check them on Newegg to get a range, would also need to be one you could feed back to twitch.tv and not just to an external interface such as HDMI.

If you want to "push the limit" I would go for a high end aftermarket cooler, H80, H100, or whatever floats your boat. A large SSD, probably an 830 120gb would do, maybe pop up to a 256gb if you load lots of games.
