Please help me figure out what to get

So my computer is breaking down. It's pretty lame. I can't play games on the lowest setting. I'm going for a gigantic step up and need PROFESSIONAL help.

I need it to be able to handle Metro 2033, Crysis 2, BF3, etc.... While Streaming to a website, while watching a movie on netflix, and while having 20 websites open.

DONT NEED: keyboard, mouse, speakers, or a screen. But I need everything else including a case for the new computer.

I'd like to stay in range of 1000-1250 dollars, but I have no idea about parts, which are reliable, and which ones you guys would call me "retarded" for buying.

I know you might have to sacrifice something to get a better something, but I want to know what the absolute best possible build (like if my buddy came over and saw the computer and was like "did this cost u 5000 dollars or something?!?!?!" and I can be like nope, *kickingwing* over at overclock.net hooked a brotha up!

Please help me, I always end up buying the wrong things :/

This seems like it's still near the low end of performance. Would this really be able to handle anything I could throw at it?

an i5 3570k and a GTX 670 is low performance? what's high performance?!?

yes it would be able to play just about everything you throw at it!!!

Just get a good cooler and overclock the heck out of it and you would be golden.

i would suggest a water cooling kit like a XSPC Raystorm 750 RS240

Well, idk how their performance. I have been doing research and everyone says I7 I7 hailing it as the only way to go. The GTX is great, no issues there.

I also read about power supply, that issues can stem from that too. I was thinking I needed at LEAST am 800 watt power supply.

I also was thinking I need 2 8gig ram cards

I was also iffy on the motherboard, definately if I were ganna up those components ^

the i7 and i5 have no performance difference when it comes to gaming. when you are gaming and streaming, the i7 would help a little, but it wouldnt be worth the extra $100. just get a good cooler and oc the heck out of the chip.

as for the power supply, the newer generation of video cards and cpus are very power efficient, so 800w would be overkill. the most i would go would be a 650W.

16GB of ram is a bit much. 8GB is all you would need for gaming.

The motherboard is a great motherboard. there is nothing wrong about it. Biostar makes some really great budget boards.

hmm, so what would the difference be between the biostar and a ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 Intel Series 7?

I think I will go to 650W and the upgrade to 16 gigs of ram is only like 20 bucks, I gotta get that.

Will the case hold a 650W?
