The asus program popped up while I was browsing the web saying its temp was -60 celcius? Here is an image, if anyone knows the cause of this please share.

As you can see even speed fan was reporting -60 so was hwmonitor

Thing being, if speedfan and hwmonitor are using the sensor from the motherboard and it is failing, the temps displayed will just be wrong.

Realtemp is for CPU only, IIRC. This once happened for me on my old Athlon II x2 240 and the restart fixed everything.

Check in the BIOS for temps. If you have negative or out of place temps, then you might have a bad motherboard, although I doubt this.

i only say evo is bogus because on my rig i get the warning popups in bottom right with spikes into 5-10V, temps -80-200*C,etc. Every few months its something new, quite honestly dont even run it anymore. cpuz/realtemp i keep in background to keep good idea of cpu temps/voltage, but evo sensor reading always been wacky on my sabertooth
