Trying to hook up an RCA RTD315 to my computer

Thread Starter
As the title suggests, I am having massive trouble connecting my RCA RTD315 to my computer. My motherboard is an ASrock Z77 Extreme 4.
I can sometimes get the simple 2.1 surround working using only the audio-in/out on both the unit and the computer, but it does not work with anything other then Windows Media Player. Even the test in the Audio Mixer doesnt work.
PLEASE HELP!!!

How are you connecting it? It has either a stereo RCA (aux in) or optical (DolbyDigital 5.1/Stereo PCM). Are you using a stereo mini-jack to RCA cable with the Aux-in?

There is no optical in (otherwise this would be easy). I have to use the RGB/RW cables to connect it. I can only occasionally get it to actually play, but its so quiet that even with everythin maxed out for sound, its still quite quiet. Im thinkin its ****ed and I will just buy a new system.

Sorry mate, I may have found the wrong manual redface.gif It doesn't have an Audio in (Aux)?

Yes, it has an AUX1 and 2 in the settings and on the back im fairly confident that the RBG wires are part of the AUX 2. But yes, I have been doing all this in AUX 1 using the simple Red and White wires going into the Audio In
