Dunno why I didn't bother to check out OCN ESO thread earlier. Subscribed. Stoked for this game. So tired of haters out there on the net.

When a ton of players get the game they will start to really voice their opinions. Will Zenimax fix the bugs and if so, how quickly? Zenimax promised to bring rock-solid content and keep it coming over and over and over. They're saying the admission price is paying for this. Will we see it? How does the max level PvP stand? I'm not talking about some beta testing, I'm thinking of when players get the game and really try to use every single game mechanic to further their class. Will some classes be underpowered or overpowered after the test of time? Etc. I can wait a bit longer to see how the game pans out.
The PvP is the best in any game I know of, which why I like it so much. DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot) had the best PvP of it's day, and today it is still top.
GW2 used the base of DAoC pvp for there own, but it was just too small and limited. The guys who did DAoC pvp is doing the ESO pvP, and it shows. cyrodiil is not empty, there is pve/pvp quests, bounties and the zone is full of life.
ESO PvP map itself is huge, almost as big as Oblivion map, which was Cyrodiil.
Content will be more coming, adventured zones (raiding).

There is so much space too add content too. Cyrodiil is in the middle, the triangle center part.

Here is what the whole Elder Scrolls world is. This is not ESO, just Elder Scrolls in general.

This game is such a disappointment ! The questing is dull and uninspired to say the least. The NPC's are boring and lack personality. The graphics and aesthetics don't even come close to GW 2 and the crafting aspects are just retarded and there's really no excuse for that, given what a remarkable job they did it with Skyrim. PvP was a joke and although I understand that it was Beta testing, it was very buggy.

I can't believe they actually had the nerve to ask me how much I would pay for a monthly fee for this game ! I for one, will not be wasting my money on this game at all ! Not to buy, not for a monthly fee... NOTHING !

That's too bad, as I did have such high hopes for it this game. Well, at least I still have GW 2 and don't have to pay a monthly fee for that. biggrin.gif

I have to agree, i played the Beta and it really offered nothing to make me even think twice about buying it. The combat was shocking. The graphics were no where near what i was expecting them to be. The questing was just the same old boring typical MMO fare but that is to be expected. It just didnt feel like a MMO and nor did it feel like an Elder Scrolls game. Personally i think this game will be free to play within a year. It offers nothing new.

Why do people think F2P is the way to go? It is not good and people think it is.
Graphics is very good. There is really not much can be done about questing in MMO.
It does feel like an MMO and like Elder Scrolls game.

You only tried a limited amount of game play. The PvP will be the biggest point here and so will the adventure zones that is coming.

umm...beta is beta... graphics improved 110% since the early betas lol. and combat is pretty good IMHO. WAY better than a lot of other mmos ive played. Questing early on I completely agree is lame grind rush... but it gets better as you level. this last beta i was very pleased, and it was still one major patch behind the relase version they were working on. besides, this game seems to be focused on pvp and interacting with the world in the end game... rather than trying to be 100% awesome on the way to get there... although the pvp scaling makes it just like any other and quite enjoyable even to pvp at lower levels.

I feel bad I didn't try out PvP in the beta. I know I should've.

Graphics front, I like it better than vanilla Skryim TBG. The shadows on vanilla Skyrim were pretty ridiculous.

Let's be honest here. Please understand that I'm a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan with over 900 hrs in Skyrim alone and almost that much in both Morrowind and Oblivion, so I really am trying to be fair but.....

1) The graphics are no where near what we should expect from a studio of Bethesda's caliber (one of the largest and most prestigious in the gaming industry ). I wouldn't say the graphics are 'crappy' but as consumers, why shouldn't we expect something at least as good as Guild Wars 2, given how long GW 2 has been out, so it is possible and this shouldn't even need to be discussed, yet it does.

2) The map system is just a joke ! Why they just don't use the map system they already have in Skyrim, which is pretty much the same one used in Guild Wars 2, is anyone's guess but what they have is just awful.

3) The crafting is going to need a complete overhaul. No excuse here. This is not a complicated thing and they have for some reason, complicated the hell out of it. You should be able to gather the materiel, go to the crafting station, create the item and level up, End of story. It works that way in GW 2 and in Skyrim but not in ESO.

4)The questing is going to have to get better and I mean a lot better or this game is going to fail and go f2p, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

5) The monthly fee.
WHY ?!
I'll tell you. GREED ! I don't care if this MMO and that MMO also has one. Guild Wars 2 does not. Yes, you had to pay $70-80.00 USD for the game upfront and there are some micro-transactions available ( which I'm certain will also be available in ESO ) but nothing that can tip an advantage in your favor over a player who chooses not to spend the extra money.
Why do they do this ? Because we let them get away with it, so why shouldn't they ? If we say 'no' and refuse to pay it, then what happened with SWTOR and that stupid vampire game, as well as a few others, will happen here. They will drop the fee in an effort to survive. If we keep paying it ? They will keep taking it. It's your money and your choice but I refuse to pay it.

This game still needs a lot of work. Fundamental work I'm not sure will ever get done but as I already have Guild Wars 2, I see no reason to waste my time and money on what is so clearly an inferior product in every way. If all of you want to be mindless fanboi's and throw your money at them for a crappy game and then keep throwing more money at them every month afterwards, be my guest. It's never going to come out of my wallet. I work too hard for my money and I expect a lot more for it in return.
