Let's be honest here. Please understand that I'm a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan with over 900 hrs in Skyrim alone and almost that much in both Morrowind and Oblivion, so I really am trying to be fair but.....

1) The graphics are no where near what we should expect from a studio of Bethesda's caliber (one of the largest and most prestigious in the gaming industry ). I wouldn't say the graphics are 'crappy' but as consumers, why shouldn't we expect something at least as good as Guild Wars 2, given how long GW 2 has been out, so it is possible and this shouldn't even need to be discussed, yet it does.

2) The map system is just a joke ! Why they just don't use the map system they already have in Skyrim, which is pretty much the same one used in Guild Wars 2, is anyone's guess but what they have is just awful.

3) The crafting is going to need a complete overhaul. No excuse here. This is not a complicated thing and they have for some reason, complicated the hell out of it. You should be able to gather the materiel, go to the crafting station, create the item and level up, End of story. It works that way in GW 2 and in Skyrim but not in ESO.

4)The questing is going to have to get better and I mean a lot better or this game is going to fail and go f2p, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

5) The monthly fee.
WHY ?!
I'll tell you. GREED ! I don't care if this MMO and that MMO also has one. Guild Wars 2 does not. Yes, you had to pay $70-80.00 USD for the game upfront and there are some micro-transactions available ( which I'm certain will also be available in ESO ) but nothing that can tip an advantage in your favor over a player who chooses not to spend the extra money.
Why do they do this ? Because we let them get away with it, so why shouldn't they ? If we say 'no' and refuse to pay it, then what happened with SWTOR and that stupid vampire game, as well as a few others, will happen here. They will drop the fee in an effort to survive. If we keep paying it ? They will keep taking it. It's your money and your choice but I refuse to pay it.

This game still needs a lot of work. Fundamental work I'm not sure will ever get done but as I already have Guild Wars 2, I see no reason to waste my time and money on what is so clearly an inferior product in every way. If all of you want to be mindless fanboi's and throw your money at them for a crappy game and then keep throwing more money at them every month afterwards, be my guest. It's never going to come out of my wallet. I work too hard for my money and I expect a lot more for it in return.

1) Graphics is very good. GW2 is a different style and not realistic looking. ESO has a much more feel to the details.
2) Map is fine, not sure what the problem is? Again this is made by Zenimax, not Bethesda.
3) Crafting is great and a challenge. You can make some good gear and improve on it. GW2 crafting is a joke, all the gear you make is useless and can be found better from drops.
4) Again with F2P, pathetic. Questing is not the and wont be the issue to the problem. Once higher level, it gets interesting.
5) The monthly fee is fine and never an issue. F2P is not that good of a model and limits what can be done to the game. If the company does not sell enough cash shop, flare items then not much can be done to the game.

SWTOR monthly fee has nothing to do with the problems it had.
ESO is very well done and quite polished. ESO is not inferior. Fanbois we are not.

All your points is useless and not even correct. You come here to bash a game. If you want to post, least something constructive that will help people here on this post for the game.
All you said shows you have never even beta or got passed starting zones.

I'm actually with Lhotse on this too. I have not played morrowwind/oblivion/skyrim. I went into the ESO beta with no expectations, as I guessed it might have to deviate away from the standard MMO formula due to it's huge Elder scrolls fanbase/franchise characteristics.

However what was presented to me was a pretty sub-standard presentation. Let me elaborate.
1) like Lhotse, the graphics to me was just dated. I actually thought is this a "Daikatana" MMO? The design of the world itself has great mertis, because it definately gave a feel of the old school D&D, or those classic black isle/bioware RPGs design feel to it, which I'm a big fan of.

2) The combat. I have to be honest with this one. It's laughable. It could be due to my ping, I play from SE Asia, with 190-220 pings to WoW a few years ago when I played it. The animations were not fluid. I do not feel connected to my character/animation on key presses and movement during combat. The animations imo lacks character/quality, and presents itself to me as a f2p/cheap korean/jp/china games.

3) The maps. Still needs improvement.

4) The world. It does not feel alive/immersive/engaging. The scale of the world feels too small or "limited in scope" for the lack of a better word. For a game which does not emphasize on end game raids, instead on questing and immersive world, it is imo not good enough.
The quests voicing however are good quality.

I personally do not think this game has viable end-game based on my experiences with it's combat. Quest and 4/5man dungeons can only go so far. I do not see myself/players with prior MMO experiences paying a $15 subscription for this game. However based on my observation, this game is ready to convert to F2P. Imo, the game would appeal more to new MMOers with no expectations/prior standards, or vested Elder scrolls fans who are looking to engage in a sequel to the franchise.

From the sound you barely made it anywhere. The world is very large and as for end game raiding it is coming after launch. it is called Adventure Zones.
So many people see what other write and not even see how the game really is.
Barely go through the starting zones, and say it is bad without knowing more.

About 1 and 5... 1 I disagree... I like the graphics on ESO better than Vanilla Skyrim. The lighting on vanilla Skyrim was HORRIBLE. Every rock was striping and god help you if you go into a dungeon with a light source. About 5, for me it all comes down to whether that $15 a month actually means very good Zenimax support and continued development, which I can't know right now.

I just can't accept a game that is both TES and MMO. I just can't see how they would mix well. In TES games, you made yourself important doing the things you did. You explored ruins or caves, cleared them out, killed specific monsters or people and looted the place. You then might go back to the person you were helping, maybe retrieve their item that was stolen by the bandits in the cave you just cleared, or collecting a bounty for the bandit leader. Now in an online environment, that clumsy jerk seems to lose his item as soon as he gets it and sends everyone to get it, and that bandit leader respawns every few minutes requiring the bounty to be up indefinitely (but no repeats, that wouldn't be fair!).

I've not played prior Elder scrolls games. I'm comparing ESO to recent games like FF14:ARR. Also Skyrim is not an MMO i believe. Not appropriate to make SP game's graphics in comparison to MMOs.

I don't think someone would pay 1st for a disapointing MMO, continue to pay a monthly fee and hope overtime it would turn a enjoyable game for him.

You don't get a shot at a 2nd launch, I would had hoped certain individuals who are involved with ESO who were also part of game released like Tabula Rasa would have learned from that. If the game has no end-game content at launch, it's going to tank faster than SWTOR.

I did get out from the starting zones and explored around. A large world doesn't equate to a immersive one.
Also adventure zones may not be your typical coordination required raids. It could be a glorified dungeon like LFR system in WoW. But I guess it will be shown later.

Also Ender is right. There is no 2nd chance when you are a subsciption based game. This is not BF4 or The Sims online. Swtor is a sad example.

At launch you do not need end game. It will take a while before you can get to max level and have the gear needed. That is no reason for a game to fail.

This looks good, not sure what it is bad about it. This is just one example.

Regarding to first: Skyrim is not an MMO but people want to comapre Skyrim to ESO in every aspect. So if they choose to do so, I think in this department I think ESO gets a bonus.

I'm not pre-ordering, I prefer to wait for the MMO and see how it turns out. I would prefer $60 up front or $15 subscription, but not both. I am interested to see who is wrong about the future of ESO. I am one to admit I don't know but many people seem very sure of themselves.
