I am glad that there is some excitement surrounding the game. I am still on the fence about it, but I want TES to continue on, and even if I skip this iteration, it's success means that the TES series stays prevalent...meaning more games later!

Fall Out 4 first, then more single player TES games.

Thankfully, FO 4 is already in the works. The next TES game is going be at least a couple yrs. away, given all the time and resources that have been committed to ESO, that I for one would rather have seen used to develop the next TES game. Like there aren't enough MMO's out already. rolleyes.gif

ESO has nothing to do with any Elder Scrolls game from Bethesda as in the team working on it. That was all Zenimax having there own.
The team from Bethesda, Fallout and Elder Scrolls are still working on the next ones.

For sure. Personally I always wanted a multiplayer TES game and now I have finally have the chance to play one. Granted there are many people who aren't happy with the implementation of the game but I for one feel that its worthy of a TES game and will enjoy playing through the story and fighting for control of Cyrodil.

I was really on the fence about it when playing the first couple betas. No lie, after playing the first beta I got in November I was sure I wasn't going to be playing TESO. However after meeting up with some old guildmates from another MMO and finally getting to particpate in Cyrodil PvP in last weekends beta I'm 100% pumped for this game now.

The only downside to this games launch window is that it shares one (relatively close) with the Diablo 3 expansion Reaper of Souls, which I'm also pumped for.

Once you start to see guilds work on structured tactics for AvA, it will be a different play.
D3 RoS, only 4 days worth of play before early start.

I can't stand all these trolls... All you people ruin the gaming industry with talk of "its my money and I demand this and this"... push off. go somewhere else. really.

Take a game for what it is, you either like it, or you dont for whatever selfish uber nerd "i have the best pc in the world so want graphics that normal people wont see for another 5 years" reasons... and just leave. go to your cave, play your "go to" game, and just shut out from the world for a solid week or so. really. please.

Subscription whinos piss me off the most. All these devs busting their butts to produce a game that many NORMAL people DO quite enjoy, but for the "elitest" gamer... they want to play for free or want all the features and performace of an astin martin for the price of a honda.

To the man with the argument of "because we let them charge it, if we said no... then they wouldnt". sorry kind sir, but your logic is ridiculously flawed. here is how it ACTUALLY is: if you don't want it, and no one buys it, then the games do not get produced. period. no trickery involved there. hard working devs should be paid for their efforts, and should be paid well if they succeed with an awesome game. They get paid for the game when its released, and if its epic and people like it, by all means continue giving them a cut with monthly fees to allow them to keep working on it. If the game sucks, pay them anyway for trying (launch and original purchase), but having people cut off for not wanting to pay monthly fees will be their consequence.

How it should not, nor EVER work in an mmo: expect devs to make a great game for a one time low cost of 60$ then expect them to continue supporting it for free for years to come... that is just ludicrous. They deserve to make a solid yearly income.

Also I feel that people who whine about subscriptions are no better or worse than people who don't whine. They just have different preferences. Some find the price to be fine, some don't. So what? The issue comes when people who feel their preference is the ONLY RIGHT PREFERENCE and then won't shut up about it.
