It really is a fun game once you get your bearings with what is different from other MMOs. I was cautiously optimistic going into the game, and it has easily exceeded my expectations.

Official add-on support is pretty nice and helps in customizing things as well.

Yeah, I can understand your point and I used to say the same exact thing about MMO monthly fees. But considering how much content there is, it trumps any offline game out there and you'r getting allot more value out of $15/mo than if you would if you were to buy an "AAA" title for $15 on a steam sale that may last you 10-20 hours of game play before its over, then your bored and looking for another game. Over time it actually saves me and my friends money because were not interested in other games so our monthly gaming expense drops from ~$30-60 a month to that $15.

Also, online games without fees tend to have allot worse community support from developers and less frequent updates / hot fixes that are needed. I mean look at BF4 for example there is no incentive to update the game properly when they already took my money and ran.

.

Okay you are seriously comparing this game at release to Skyrim and saying it TRUMPS it in content? Now I am not saying it does not have more content but your assertion that games (all by your wording) have 10 to 20 hours of game time is NUTS! I have put over 500 hours into Skyrim and STILL discover new stuff. Other games like Civilization and XCom might have shorter direct play but have massive replayability.

I am not saying ESO is not a solid game and could very well be worth a monthly fee but your post reads of rabid fanboyism or just cluelessness of the rest of the gaming world.

There are some with good content like Skyrim, but I'm referring to the majority of top rated games released tend to be beatable in under 15 hours with little content beyond the main story / objective. Take a look and this easily backs up what I meant. Majority of these games costed $60 at one point and were beatable in 15 hours by the average person. Link

What I'm trying to say is that it costs $10-20 (if on sale) or $60 full price for a game I am done with in a single weekend. Compared to $60+15/mo for something like ESO is much more entertainment value for me considering how much content it currently has with plenty of room for further add-on and expansions.

Not disagreeing with your premise, just suggesting you watch how you word it so the premise is not lost.

So I'm wondering how the difficulty is in the game? Is it well balanced against your character? Everyone I've watched on twitch, no matter what level, looks like they're just sitting back and gracefully moving through the game without much of a challenge? Also, can you group with your friends and do quests or instances together, or does each person have to do it by themselves?
