Is it possible to disable 2d clocks on a 4870?

Like the title says im looking to force 3d clock 24/7 because for some reason my card like to revert to stock clocks even when i use drivers to overclock it to 790/1030 and when i watch a youtube video or something it goes to 1030 memory but when i close it my screen does something weird like bounces and the memory reverts to 900MHz and sometimes it freezes my PC with a brown screen with lines going through it.


So like i said is it possible disable the down clocking of the memory?

I think you'd have to change the BIOS values for that.

For another option I remember something with RivaTuner, but nothing specific.

Also, keeping the 3D clocks 24/7 will increase the power consumption by a pretty big margin..

yeah im not flashing my 4870's BIOS just for that, and it only underclocks to 600MHz instead of 750 so i doubt power increase would be very much
