This motherboard holds 32 gigs of ram. Do I need to use 32?

Thread Starter
So I was thinking about getting the Biostar TZ77XE4 motherboard for my computer and noticed that it could have 32 gigs of ram.

Do I need to fill all 32 gigs?

If not should I go with 4 4gigabyte or 2 8 gigabyte for a 16 gb system?

32gb is the maximum it can hold not the amount you need, go with 2x 8gb's you never really want to occupy all 4 dimm''s as that would hinder overclocking potential and would put more stress on the memory controller aswell affect stability of your computer.

No, you do not need to max out the ram. I would get 8GB x2 for 16GB. Not sure if this is an issue with Ivy Bridge, but Sandy Bridge had OCing problems when all memory slots were populated.
