why is my galaxy s3 slow? - Page 2

LWP Should not have done that with your phone. I use a LWP on a far inferior Galaxy S1 on a Jellybean ROM and don't get stutter or lag. You got an app that's running constantly in the background.

Im starting to think quadrent is not consistant because now im getting scores like 5100 lol idk its probably just my connection because when I have 3 bars I get lower scores and when I got 5 bars I get really high scores
post #13 of 21
Yeah but why would a connection have anything to do with stuttering. that should not make a difference. I would do a full restore but thats me to see if maybe you caught something.

I had Pandora installed on my phone for a while. Took it off when I noticed that 30% of my battery was going to it even though it wasnt playing music or even running. It would just randomly start running in the background. Youve probably got an issue like that.

I was just saying maybe do a factory restore back to stock settings. maybe you downloaded something but at the same time i dont have my phone yet so I cant tell you if the spinning background causes stuttering at all. Phone wont be here till tomorrow

if the phone is a little hot from games it it normal to score lower on these benchmarks like say 4500?
Try playing games with auto brightness or just play it on lower brightness. I play Zenonia 4 for over 3 hours without charging on auto brightness the screen doesn't really get hot nor the back. But if I turn up brightness, then it gets very hot. Or when I'm charging and playing.

I think we shouldn't depend on the Quadrant scores too much to say whether our phone are fast or not.

Have you closed all the applications running. In the back ground (hold down home button to see them). Have you played with windows scale or animations?
