Old Logitech z-560 subwoofer to work through receiver

So I have this sub laying around and wanted to get it working through my home receiver.

The issue is the Pod is broken so I just have the sub enclosure portion. I am attempting to take it apart now to see what the insides look like but has anyone done this?

My setup would be

TV->Receiver->Subwoofer and my existing speakers

i was thinking i could just use speaker wire and wire it that way but since it takes the svideo cable in from the control center i'm not so sure.

Quick update

Was able to get wired just using speaker cable and bypassing the built in amp in the sub. However, my cheap home receiver doesn't have a crossover and I would like to use the crossover built into the amp attached to the sub.

Any thoughts?
